Let me share you a little something from my heart...
I am not the best writer I know, so I will try not to make it long :D
Creating this video has been a rather bittersweet feeling...
Having to bare my face in front of the camera and doing a very natural makeup look.
I have always went out with rather thicker makeup on because of my past skin condition.
But upon creating this video, I tried to take a leap of faith and just bare myself... and be me.
The way I am, now.
Yes it doesn't seem like a lot here, in this video..
However,
I grew up with moderate to severe acne during my early teenage years all over my face, neck, chest, shoulder and my whole back. I got bullied for it. My classmates called me acne monster..
It was so bad.. to a point I hated myself.
I hated everything I see in the mirror.
I can never go out anywhere or make eye contact wit anyone.
It was horrendous, but for almost 10 years..I fought.
I fought so hard to a point sometime I feel the world is unfair and I almost gave up about how I look.
Now, the confidence you see in this video does not come by just like that. It is years of hardwork of tears, sweat and blood.
I have learnt it the hard way that.. at the end of the day, beauty is always a choice.
It is a constant fight, be it inside or outside. You can never take it for granted.
And through this video, I want all of you ladies out there to always choose positivity when it comes to yourself
because it is ALWAYS worth it.
Looking back, I've never regret I have to go through what I went through.
The world has put up such an inhuman standard of beauty, to a point people forget...
that beauty is everywhere... it lies on the eyes of the beholder.
It is never specific, it is never finite.
Insecurity is permanent, we all know.
It's the darkest monster and enemy amongst all of us, especially ladies.
But, let's fight that together as women.
Don't ever give up on yourself, because nothing worth fighting for ever comes easy.
